Cinema&Fashion #007# Christmas Issue – Miracle on 34th Street, Trading Places, The Holiday

Less than one week to Christmas and I have prepared a special Christmas Issue for our Cinema&Fashion division. I have put together three of the best Christmas movies and picked up the main outfits. Three different stories, three different times of history of Fashion, one concept: Christmas style.

Feeling christmassy? Here some Christmas bites!

Miracle on 34th Street (by George Seaton – USA 1947- with Mauree O’Hara, Edmund Gwenn, John Payne, Natalie Wood).

It is a classic of Christmas movies and I could not not put it into this issue. The 1947 outfits for Maureen O’Hara are amazing: a strong woman living by herself at the end of 40’s. Style and magic together for a real Christmas feeling.

Trading Places (by John Landis – USA 1983 – with Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ralph Bellamy, Don Ameche and Denholm Elliot).

In my opinion the best Christmas movie ever. Fun and catching, in total USA 80’s style. Eddie Murphy and Danny Aykroyd are the perfect couple and their style is on top. Never miss a Christmas without this movie!

The Holiday (by Nancy Meyers – USA 2006 – with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black).

Romantic Comedy that gives you that warm smile that you need at Christmas. I particularly like Cameron Diaz’ outfits but I am definitely in love with the small cottage where she goes to spend Christmas in, just outside London. Do not miss it!

Goosebumps Christmas Guide 2012

Banner

We must say we apologise: we neglected a bit Goosebumps Mag this week. But we also must say that we did it for a really good reason, and we hope it is worth the effort we have put into this thing.
We had thought a lot about Christmas in London and what this city can offer during this time.
Here the thing: we had so many things we wanted to do, a lot of exhibitions and events we wanted to go to that we decided, once again (as usual for us), to make a quick schedule of everything we wanted to experience in these days. And then the idea: why not to create a guide with all we would like to do in London now until the end of January and make it available to everyone interested?
So here we are, more christmassy than ever, with the Goosebumps Magazine’s Christmas Guide 2012 ready to be used and exploited as much as you like.
We tried not to put all these kind of “informations for tourists” that you can easily find by yourselves, but to choose for you (and ourselves 🙂 ) something a little bit more londoner.
We really hope that you will like it and enjoy it. We put our hearts (and our sleepless nights) into this project, hoping it will be the first of a series.

The guide is in A4 format in this way you can print and bring with yourself. We would like to hear from you if you enjoy it, what you like and what not. If someone go to some of the events we described and has something to say about it can write to our e-mail address goosebumpsmag@mail.com

See you around London!
